Your Mac battery, but it has feelings.

Pettery puts a tiny pet in your menu bar whose whole mood rises and falls with your battery. Fully charged? Thrilled. Down to 8%? Dramatically starving — and it will let you know before your Mac gives up.

Plug in and watch the mood flip.

One battery, six moods.

Follow Mochi down the battery: from a full, happy tank all the way to dramatically empty. Every stop on the way down is a different face.

Mochi in the Happy mood 60–99%

Happy

Plenty of charge, nothing to worry about.

Mochi in the Okay mood 40–59%

Okay

Doing fine, right in the middle.

Mochi in the Hungry mood 20–39%

Hungry

Starting to think about snacks.

Mochi in the Very hungry mood 10–19%

Very hungry

Really thinking about snacks now.

Mochi in the Panic mood 5–9%

Panic

Single digits. This is not a drill.

Mochi in the Critical mood Under 5%

Critical

Running on fumes — plug in now.

Built like a toy. Behaves like a friend.

Pettery lives quietly in your menu bar — until the battery gets low. Then it has feelings, and a notification schedule.

It lives in your menu bar

No window to manage, no dock clutter. Your pet sits next to the battery icon, showing its face and — if you want — the percentage beside it.

It talks — in first person

Every pet has its own voice. The plant asks for water, the robot reports power levels, and Mochi mostly thinks about snacks.

Plug in, get celebrated

Unplug the charger and your pet gasps. Plug it back in and there's a small party. It also keeps an eye on charge state, so “charging” never looks like “full”.

A hungry-pet warning, not an alarm

At 20%, 10% and 5% your pet sends a gentle notification that it's getting hungry. It's the only permission Pettery ever asks for — and far harder to ignore than a red icon.

Three pets. Zero dollars. The rest are trouble.

Everyone starts with the same trio. From there it's packs of four-ish friends, a shelf of glorious oddballs, or the whole catalog at once.

Mochi, a soft mochi-blob cat with a bean between its ears THE BLOB

Mochi

A living mochi cake with cat ears and one anko bean, squishing happily through every charge.

Boba, a cheerful mint-green sprout with two leaves THE PLANT

Boba

A small potted plant who treats your battery like sunlight and your charger like rain.

Bolt, a small robot with an orange antenna light THE ROBOT

Bolt

A tiny robot who reports your battery status with total seriousness and zero chill.

Pay once. Keep the pet forever.

No subscription, no in-app currency, no food microtransactions. A pet you buy is yours — and if a pack gains new pets later, owners get them free.

Questions, answered by a human.

The pet reviews all support mail for quality. It has notes.

Is Pettery really free?

Yes. Mochi, Boba and Bolt are free forever, with every feature — moods, reactions, notifications, renaming. Paid pets are purely about which face you want in your menu bar. There is no subscription anywhere in Pettery.

What if Pettery isn't for me?

Email support@getpettery.app within 30 days of buying and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked, no hard feelings. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy back to your original payment method.

How do I unlock a pet I bought?

After checkout you receive a license key by email. Paste it into Settings → License inside the app and the pet is yours. The app activates the key once while you're online, then works fully offline — on the couch, on a plane, wherever your battery anxiety travels.

Will it drain my battery? (Ironic if so.)

It would be embarrassing, so no: Pettery is a small menu bar app that simply reads the battery level macOS already knows about. Its own footprint is a rounding error next to your browser tabs.

What does the pet actually do at low battery?

Its mood slides from Hungry to Very hungry to Panic and Critical, and at 20%, 10% and 5% it sends a notification asking — politely, then less politely — to be fed. Notifications are the only system permission Pettery ever requests.

Can I use Pettery on more than one Mac?

Yes. Each license key can be activated on up to 2 Macs at the same time. You can see your activations and free up a slot anytime from Settings → Manage licenses in the app.

Which Macs does Pettery run on?

Any Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later — Apple Silicon and Intel alike. If your Mac can run Sonoma, it can run a pet.
